Is This Thing On?

I haven't posted anything here in quite some time, not that anyone's pining for my hack work, so I figured I'd post something, anything. These are the most recent doodles. I inked them with a brush pen and added some awful color in Photoshop. The bird's head lost a little something when I inked it. The eyes don't look as good as the pencil drawing. Nothing special here, just some lunch break crap.

These are really good. I love them raw though. The inking and painting, at least digitally, takes a lot of personal touch away, IMO.

Thanks Thad. Yeah I tend to like original pencil drawings more than "finished" art.

The wolf is really NICE!

I agree that the rough is nicer,
(If you look at the legs the silhouette is better on the rough & the same thing for the fur on his face... )
but I really like the clean & color anyway. :D

I agree that rough is best. I have been trying to think if I have ever seen a cartoon where the finished drawings are essentially the roughs. I think it would be an interesting thing to see.

I think what changes the expression on the bird when you inked it is the far eye on your rough it touches the left side of the eye, but on the ink it is closer to the right. Nice attempts though.

These are really god, and I love the pencil drawings.

The inking isn't too bad but I think I saw your mistake. You should try making the lines smaller on the inking.

But still they are beutiful drawings.

By the way, do I know you from spumboard.com?

Thanks for the kind words and I used Photoshop to color the drawings.
