Donald Heads

I was sitting on my ass watching the Spurs/Suns game last night and decided to do something more constructive. So I drew some Donald heads while sitting on my ass watching the game. The front view drawing came out real bad, but the Suns went on a run to pull within 10 with a about four minutes left. I wasn't paying too much attention to detail while drawing that one. It was a good game, I would've liked the series to go to seven games though. Both teams are fun to watch. Though I was rooting for the Spurs. Tim Duncan rules, even though he killed my Knicks in the '99 finals.

Any advice on how to do the beak ? That's the hardest part for me on Donald, Scrooge, etc.

I find Donald's beak way harder to draw than Daffy's or Baby Huey's. It's got a flatness to it the other characters don't have. I just keep roughing it out until it looks right. I tend to draw the top part too long or the bottom part too thick. The width of the beak tends to be the same width of his head.

Yeah, I see what you mean about the front view, but the res of them - WOW!

And I'm with thad. Even with the model sheets Carl Barks himself made up, I can't crack this nut!
