Lesson 6

Here's a page of sketches from lesson 6. I found these incredibly hard to draw. Katie Rice's drawing have so many subtle curves to them. These were the best I could do. I'm definetly going to copy more or her drawings, it's great practice.

you're making about the same amount of progress as me on those. I think the problem lies with lesson 7, where John said you need to get basics down before trying something with style. Katie certainly has style in her drawings.

Oh well, i'm not fussing too much on how good they look, i'm just concentrating on the nose and lips, seeing they're the main reason for the exercise :)

I agree, her stuff is more stylized than say Porky Pig. I found the lips she draws to be incredibly hard.

Hi Kevin

try to copy them exactly. Don't interpret them.

One thing you are doing is not drawing the girls' skulls. They look like someone chopped the backs of their heads off with an axe!

Use the same technique to check your copies that you use to check your Preston drawings.

Your pal,

John

Thanks for the critique John. I'll give it another go.
