I'm sort of obsessing over Emery Hawkins' animation in "Two Gophers From Texas". Not that that's a bad thing.

If you've never seen the Art Davis short "Two Gophers From Texas" you're really missing out on an incredible cartoon. Emery Hawkins animation in it is probably the wildest thing I've seen him do. Even more so than his stuff at Lantz. Anyway, I'm going to spend some time studying his scenes in that short. Here's the first go at them.
